After long months of scarcity… meat returns to Wafaa AlMohsenin kitchens

After months in which thousands of families in Gaza went without even a taste of meat, cooked meals with meat have finally returned to the community kitchens of Wafaa AlMohsenin Charity — reaching families exhausted by hunger, displacement, and the harsh realities of war.
The past period was one of the hardest Gaza has ever endured; hundreds of lives were lost in the struggle for a bit of flour, and entire families survived on whatever food and water they could find. Despite the challenges, the charity’s team continued its work without pause, moving with every shift in the war, carrying whatever food and emergency aid they could.
Despite the scarcity of resources, soaring costs, and the extreme difficulty of bringing food supplies into Gaza, the charity has recently succeeded in securing quantities of meat and adding them to the daily meals — meals children and adults alike have long been waiting for after months of longing.
“People in Gaza have endured hunger and hardship with incredible patience. The least we can do is offer them the best of what we can provide.”
Wafaa AlMohsenin Charity emphasizes that none of this would have been possible without the generosity of donors who stood with families in their darkest moments.
